A friend asked if I could undelete some files, and I said sure.. if they were accidentally deleted, they should be recoverable. But the flashdrive doesn't even show up as a line item in Apple's Disk Utility software. When I insert my older 512 disk, it comes right up, files and folders and a Disk Utility Line Item.
So it ocurred to me, maybe the SanDisk 8GB SDHC drive is dead, or maybe this old trusty Kingston reader pre-dates 'SDHC' and doesn't do 'SDHC'?

Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this USB 3.0 Card Reader to anyone as we had nothing but problems from the start as it would come up telling me I had two cards plugged in when I only had the one plugged in and it’s not a problem with Windows 10 as I have been building computer for over 10 years now
